Waltz on the Wild Side Review

4 stars Waltz on the Wild Side by Alana Albertson is a story about two dancers who used to be best friends. Salomé has the pressure put on her about her appearance. She's not skinny enough, she's short and is horrible at doing interviews. She also has to deal with seeing her ex-boyfriend and dance partner with her replacement. Vika had it hard as a child, being shipped to the United States to live her baba(grandma) to have the chance at a better life. She's married to someone who is a lot older and has step-children, one who is older, one that's the same age and younger. She has worked hard to get to the top, but when she meets her childhood crush, she realizes that she wants to experience love. Not the love she's used to, for security and success. But can she deal with the consequences. This is a great journey through the ups and downs of professional dancers who want it all. The title and love of their life. Alana Albertson does a great job of writing about the emotional life of a dancer. It does start off a little slow, but does pick up and get better! It was a good read that I would recommend!
