HARPER’S LITTLE SPITFIRE by ANGEL STEEL

~ Our review ~

Well, there is not too much I can say about this book, except that the sex scenes were extremely hot.
The four Harper Brothers are extremely sexy & have worked their way through most of the women in their village by the sound of things. Sage Matthews has had fantasies about them for 15 years.
Then for the rest of the book all we get is sex scenes.  I couldn’t find any story.
I gave it 3 stars only because the sex scenes were hot

Review of Following You and Finding You - Kelly Harper‏

~ Our Review ~
This book is about Sarah. A girl who follows her boyfriend off to college only to find out that life isn't always about what you want or what you see.
Sarah thought she was going to spend her college years with the love of her life Huck. But life has different plans for Sarah when Huck becomes a different person once college starts. Sarah is heart broken when the boy she thought she knew cheats on her and brakes her heart. Sarah is ready to pack up and go running back home. But her crazy roommate makes her wise up and stay.
Jeremy WOW! Jeremy is starting college later then everyone else, he is a 21 year old freshman. But ready to get on with his life and leave the past where it belongs, in the past. When he meets Sarah for the first time he is left standing there wondering if a future is what he deserves. Jeremy has demons that he struggles with everyday. And doesn't know if he will ever have a happy ending!
Sarah and Jeremy have a relationship that is rocky from the beginning, with her insecurities and his demons, will their relationship make it or will it be over before it beings.

I think of this book as a coming of age kind of book. It shows you that what you see isn't always what you get. Everyone has a past but are we willing to let people in and share our past with them?? I would recommend this book to anyone. It was an quick easy read!

Nico - J.B. Hartnett - Review

~ Our Review ~
This is a 5 Star Must Read.

This was such an intense and emotional book and i loved it!!
Nico is a Tattoo artist who has this amazing gift to help heal his "Birds" You see him go through his bad playboy ways and then truly change himself around and wait til he meets the one that takes his breathe away. I really enjoyed his relationship with his parents it was powerful and really inspirational. Even though he starts off this playboy image he is such an amazing person with a good heart and you can tell with his relationship with his parents. Then when he meets Lark you get to go on their journey and experience some more twists and turns. I loved their journey and how they found each other! I also enjoyed reading about Teensy and Zack.
J.B. Hartnett wrote an amazing and heartfelt book that I truly enjoyed and it was so well written and really made you feel the emotions of the characters. Just when i though i was done being sad and the light was starting to shine for this beautiful couple, another turn of events happen and your left teary eye again, yelling noo..this cant happen now! but through the power of love they survive and your left smiling!!
I will be definitely be adding J.B. Hartnett to my authors to watch out for :)

Something Like Normal by Monica James

5Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!

WOW just WOW…. From the first chapter I was intrigued as to where this story would go and it didn’t go how I was predicting in my head at all, I love when a book surprises me and has plenty of twists and turns keeping you on your toes and this book does. The first few chapters are more to do with getting to know Mia/Paige’s character with at first just a hint of her past and I instantly loved her.

Then she meets The Misfits one by one and you will instantly love each and every one of them too. Two of which you will lust after Especially Quinn, you can not help but Love Him! She is surrounded by love and has second thoughts as to what she wants to do, maybe she’s finally found a home or will her past catch up with her in a way she never imagined?

I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed in this book, it has everything. Your heart will race, your heart will sigh and at times you might even get a little angry but one thing is for sure you will be wanting the next book.

I had never read any of Monica James books until this one and I’m really pleased I did. Her writing is flowing, descriptive and makes it feel like you are living it, you truly get lost in her writing. I will definitely be checking out her other books and one things for sure the next book in this series can not come soon enough!

Crashing BACK Down

ANNA-MARIE’S 4 STAR THOUGHTS

CRASHING BACK DOWN (CRASHING #1) by

KRISTEN HOPE MAZZOLA

I enjoyed this rather bitter sweet story of Margaret

“Mags” McManus.& Her Fiance Randy/

She is rapidly & sadly made a war widow at a very

young age.

She obviously finds life very difficult & misses her

husband Randy dreadfully. Luckily she is not alone, she

has her In-Laws, her best friend Cali & Walker, Randy’s

best friend, all behind her to help.

She slowly starts to learn to live again and possibly

Love again? Can life really start to be great for her at

last?

This story takes us on Mags journey of overcoming her

“survivors guilt” in a very sensitive way.

I loved Mags, she was a very warm character, and I felt

every one of her emotions. The other characters were

great fun to learn about & Walker sounds dreamy.

This is a lovely story, but very sad too.

An exceptional debut novel.

Embrace the Moment (Shifting #2)

Embrace the Moment (Shifting #2)

By: Andrea Michelle

Overall Rating 5 Stars

****Reviewed for Hooked On Books****

I was excited about this book for months, after reading the first book I really

wanted to read the second book. Andrea knows how to draw in an audience. This book

was filled with intense emotions. It had me crying numerous times. I just adore and love

Riley and Josh.

It starts off with Riley having an accident and is injured because her ex-boyfriend

Dean pushes her because he is drunk, that sets everything in motion. Riley and Josh’s

relationship is tested, you get to see the ups and downs of it. Boy does it get emotional.

Then the ending comes too soon and it is a CLIFFHANGER!!! I really need to know

what happens next. This book will not disappoint you, I found this book steamier than

the first book. This book can be for anyone 17 and older. But you need to read the first

book before jumping into this one. This is a most read book and series.

I could see the author’s growth in writing and I am so proud of her. The details

and descriptions are perfect. If I could give this book 6 stars I would. Thank you Andrea

for writing a great book.

The Price of Love

3 ½ stars out of 5

I liked this story but didn’t love it. The plot was ok but it just felt like I had already

read this story. It just seemed too similar sometimes to other books I have read. I

liked the characters but nothing seemed to stand out.

I would recommend this book to others to read.

Two For One

5 Star

This was a wonderful book. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I don't give spoilers in my review so you will just have to trust me when I say that this was worth every minute I spent reading it. The sex scenes were hot and the ending was amazing. If you want a book that will keep you interested from start to finish this is the book for you.

Finally Forever

3 out of 5 stars

This is a review of Finally Forever by Katie Kacvinsky. This is the second book in

this series about a young baseball player and the girl he falls in love with over the

summer. In book 1 they break up at the end and book 2 starts 15 months later when

they have a chance meeting in Omaha Nebraska at a restaurant parking lot. Dylan

(the main female) is stranded and Gray (the main male) happens to stop there for

supper. Gray is on his way back to Arizona. Dylan is also on her way there as well.

Dylan is a free spirit that doesn’t know what she really wants if life. Everything is an

adventure for her. Gray is almost opposite in that he needs a plan for everything and

wants to be grounded.

Gray ends up giving Dylan a ride to Arizona and they end up on a journey of

rediscovering each other. Along their trip they realize that they are both still in love

with each other. During this time they get reacquainted and decide if they can be

together after all.

I unfortunately found this book a little boring. There didn’t seem to be any awe-

inspiring moments at all. I wish the author had made it a bit more heart wrenching.

It just seemed to go from one moment to another without any great surprises.

Footprints by Nicky Jayne

Footprints is a beautiful love story, that's all it is !
It follows the story of Rilley who's father was killed in action at war.  It takes years for her and her mother to come to terms with his death. On the anniversary she falls for Tanner, a soldier who is also going out to war. But will she wait for him when she vowed never to put herself in her mothers shoes ?

I just found it hard to connect with the characters in this book, I didn't feel it. I couldn't feel the connection with Rilley and Tanner and there situation ! I wanted to know more about Tanners troubled past, there was mentioning about it but that's all. I was disappointed, I just thought Nicky Jayne could have gone into more depth with Tanner. There was nothing exciting about Footprints, there were no turns, no twists or shocks.

If you enjoy reading an easy love story then this is the book for you. Just didn't grab my attention.

3*

Vengeful in Love

Review of Vengeful in Love by Nadia Lee

3 ½ stars out of 5

Vengeful in Love by Nadia Lee is a story about a man, Alex, who is seeking revenger

against a woman who destroyed his family. He finds out that her goddaughter

Natalie is working for his company.

Alex decides that seducing Natalie and using her to get back at the woman who

ruined his father would be his plan at revenge.

As Alex gets to know Natalie, he realizes that she is not like the rest of her family. He

begins to fall in love with her.

Throughout the story there are many obstacles and events that causes Alex to

question everything he thought he wanted.

The main characters had good chemistry and I found myself pulling for these 2

characters to get together. There was dual POV’s which I really like. We are also

introduced to two other characters who book 2 is about.

Taking flight by Nicky Jayne

5 stars
Taking flight is the follow up novel to footprints, it follows Parker (Tanners best friend) and Willows story. willows heart is broken by her fiancé Duncan, so much so that she flees to a little town in Texas called Lake Jackson. Trying to start a fresh and leave her troubles behind. She gets friendly with the old couple Sharon and bob who run the little cafe, there she meets there foster son Parker. that's where there emotional  roller coast ride begins.

Willow has been hurt so badly she refuses to let anyone in. Parker is a rich troubled soul with a lot of pent up anger but he just can't work out his feelings for willow. It also brings Tanner and Riley's story into the novel and we follow the heartbreaking changes they face.

This book was bloody brilliant, it just blew me away, I loved everything about it. It made me feel every emotion you could ever think of, a real page turner, I couldn't put it down. This is a must read with lots of twists and turns that will leave your head in a spin.

VIP by M. Robinson

4 stars
This is a book with 2 seperate stories that intertwined themselves.  I really like how M. Robinson did this. So here is my take…..

Ysabelle is an only child that wants nothing more than to NOT be hungry, dirty, frightened and craves her mothers love.  Ysabelle is handed the cold hard reality that even as a child , she needs to take care of herself. No one else would, not even her mother.  Ysabelle's mother, (which wasn't given a name-which I love) was a prostitute & a junkie and only cared about her next john that would pay for her next fix. At the age of twelve, Ysabelle was raped by one her mom's johns. Ysabelle found out later that her mother was paid more money for this john to "use" her daughter than he would have paid for her. I don't see a Mother of the Year award anytime soon.
Ysabelle learned after this the newfound power she had over horny boys.
At the age of sixteen, Ysabelle moved to Miami with a only the clothes on her back and $100 in her purse.

"I enjoyed doing things that I had to do, to sustain life, maybe it's hereditary or something, to be a whore, a slut, a prostitute. that's what I grew up to be. That's what I knew. That's what I became. I wasn't just some prostitute sucking d*** for nickels and dimes. I was "The Prostitute", the more politically correct word for my Madam would be that I was an escort"

Enter in Madam, who runs VIP (Very Important P***y).  She has seen something in Ysabelle and wants to recruit her in the world of sex & money. Madam is a force to be reckoned with. She owns Miami, and doesn't take crap from anyone.

Sebastian is an only child. Unlike Ysabelle's story, he WAS loved, fed and taken care of as all children should be.
Sebastian grew up with Julia, in fact he has known Julia since the day she was born.
"Obviously, I don't remember it, but my parents said that the day she was born, I was one of the first people to hold her, and that I gave her our first kiss right on the lips. I called her my baby and from them on everyone just nicknamed her, Babygirl."

One of Julia's first words was my name, she couldn't say Sebastian, and ended up saying Sebby. She's called me that ever since.

These 2 worlds collide in such a way that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Add in an adoptive daughter, a tragic death, illicit affairs & opening ones self to love.

I truly enjoyed this book and am excited for Madam (Book 2 of the VIP Trilogy) coming out May 2014.  Because you know there are some serious secrets she is keeping from us…

The Wilde One

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in return for an honest review!!!

The Second Book from the Wilde Brothers Series, and this time we get to know Tucker and it really pulls at the heart strings.

Tucker joined the United States Army right out of high school. The war really changed Tucker; it took away his spirit, left him with an injured leg and made him feel he wasn’t any good for anyone.

Tucker now back in Old Town works at Haymakers the Bar he runs with his brothers. One day in walks Gracie Parker. She looks frightened and lost, but immediately Tucker is drawn to her and wants to help her, but is that all he wants to do help her? Or does he feel a deeper connection?

Gracie has been a victim of abuse all her life, she’s only nineteen but she cant take anymore, then Tucker walks into her life and he is kind to her, but why would anyone be kind to her as far as she is concerned she’s nothing. But these two broken souls are drawn to each other. However Dex is determined he isn’t going to let Gracie walk away from him and he will stop at nothing.

The book is written from both POV just like the first in the series, and in this book especially it was needed as some scenes required the others perspective more to fully understand it and in my eyes live it with them. Just like the first book I couldn’t put it down and I’m really eager to get to read Hunter and Jakes stories and believe me you will too.

Wilde Riders

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in return for an honest review!!!

Cooper is returning to Old Town where he grew up, he can’t believe he is returning to the Town he worked so hard to leave behind. He has returned to help his Brother save the Family Business his Dad had worked so hard to build. It’s in financial trouble and they need his help.

First day back in Old Town and he meets Riley who is working for H & C Bank, who have sent her to investigate the business loan they gave Haymakers. Immediately they feel an attraction but are either ready for that in their lives?

You get the story from both Cooper and Riley’s POV, I really liked that about this book getting into the minds of the two main characters and seeing things from both perspectives. You also get to know both the characters backgrounds from their prospective giving you a great feel for their character.

I couldn’t put this book down, I loved it. It was one of those reads that I was half way through and I hadn’t moved an inch to even get a drink. It also intrigues you to want to know about the other three brothers and you really will want to know them I can promise you that.

Bound to the Fallen

4.5 stars
Bound to the Fallen by Stevie J Cole is a paranormal meets erotica and the results

are stimulating! Gavin (Immortal/Fallen Angel) is attracted instantly to Brooke. He

knows that he should steer clear of her, but after working together for weeks, they both

succumb to their attraction together. As the fireworks explode between them (and it is

HOT!) someone is stalking Brooke and Gavin. Is it because of the prophecy, or jealous/

scorned ex-lovers? That is something you will have to read to find out!

Stevie J Cole did a fantastic with this one! There is secrecy, HOT sex scenes,

emotional turmoil, back stabbing, and love. It has you not wanting to put it down! Would

recommend this to everyone. Definitely worth the one-click to buy!! I'm on the edge of

my seat awaiting the next book in this series!

Bound to Sin, Bound to the Fallen, and Bound by Prophecy expected this summer!

Something like Normal

5 out of 5 stars

Something like Normal by Monica James is a story about a woman who grew up with

a drug addicted father. By the time she was 8 years old, she was delivering drugs

for her father and his drug dealer. She had a horrific upbringing and never had any

normal relationships or new what love was.

When she was 19, her father was going to force her into prostitution to make even

more money, but she refused. They got into a fight and she shot her father to save

herself and ran away.

She took a bus across the country and ended up in South Boston, Virginia. There she

changes her identity and finds a job and a place to stay.

Here with her new start, she makes some friends and falls in love. Unfortunately her

past finds her and all hell breaks loose.

At first I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book, but after the first

couple of chapters I was intrigued. I could not put the book down.

The end of the book totally gutted me. My heart completely broke for this poor

girl. This story showed how a girl who grew up not having any love in her life, was

taught by total strangers how to love.

This book unfortunately has a cliffhanger which is going to slowly kill me as I have

to wait, hopefully not too long, to see how it all ends.

I most definitely recommend this book to everyone!

Safehouse by Dez Burke

4.5 STARS

This was a really steamy quick read. Any book with a MC in it, I'm going to read!

Flint Mason, a Public Defender, who gets a call from home that isn't good. He must go back, back to the life he left. Back to the only people who really know him-The MC Club he walked away from:

Steel Infidels.

6 months later, Flint still isn't completely welcomed back into the Infidels.

Kendra Shaw, a small town veternarian who has a soft spot for any animal in need, gets a call to come rescue a injured bald eagle. Upon arriving to the location, she feels this was a mistake…..

Kendra took two steps inside the small cabin and stopped dead in her tracks. "What the hell is going on here?" It took her only a heartbeat to register the fact she'd been lied to. Kendra was brought to the cabin to help a Steel Infidels member who has been shot- Flint Mason.  Kendra's hand is forced and is pursuaded to help take care of Flint and in exchange, the Steel Infidels will donate the money from the ride to the Shaw Wildlife Center. Again, Kendra is a sucker for animals in need.

This is a story of a weekend held up in a Safe House during a storm with a hot MC member and no way to leave.

Highly recommend for a HOT, HOT, HOT story.

Fierce

4 STARS

I have found out that I LOVE YA/NA novels recently and this one has been added.

Autumn Blakewood, who is the epitome of a good girl. She doesn't want to disappoint her parents who struggled to afford for her to go to college, and Autumn will do everything right to make them proud.

Hunter Bane, notorious college bad boy who is everything Autumn isn't.  Hunter is also from meek upbringing and has issues of his own to deal with.

Not all things are as they seem…….

Fierce is the story of Autumn & Hunter's journey to do what is right in the face of normal college/YA pressures & clicks.

"Supposedly he's got a reputation here, and I don't mean the good kind."

Yeah, you go have fun with the popular crowd," Evie scoffs.

"How can you sat that? You make it sound so easy. Like I should just get over it. I was almost raped last night!" I scream

"That day you showed up in the cafeteria you looked like you were beaten up badly, and you had red eyes. Don't deny it. You've done it yourself." The bag with the pill is crushed in his hand. "And you think I wanted to do that?" he hisses. "You tell me, " I mutter. "I hate it. I hate the stuff so much, you can't even begin to imagine. But I had to.

He's tempted me, chased me, persuaded me, and now I'm his.

"Because I owe it to my brother! I'd risk everything to get him out of there."

There were times I wanted to crawl into the story and scream at Autumn for being the way she was. I don't want to give any spoilers.

This is a good YA/NA book.

Unbreakable

 4 STAR THOUGHTS

UNBREAKABLE (CYPRESS GROVE SERIES

#1) by AMIE NICHOLS

This was a rather good story, about Lilly Sumnor. She

was adopted into a very wealthy family & on the surface,

everything looked perfect. Sadly Lilly’s adopted mother

Jane hates her & is very abusive towards her. Lilly’s

only relief is from the Housekeeper Miss Finnegan & her

friendship with Luke, who is the Gardeners Son. Luke is

sent away, so he cannot cause trouble for Lilly, leaving

her alone to suffer her abuse.

When her parents are killed in a car accident, Lilly is

the sole heir to their vast fortune. She is now able to

live the life she wants. Luke returns & they rekindle

their friendship & finally admit they love each other.

Things are moving along well, or so they think. Lilly

has a stalker who will go to any lengths to have Lilly for

himself.

I really liked Lilly, she has such a strong character. Luke

is an enigma to me & I cannot work out if I like him or

not. All the other characters that are close to Lilly are

great, and they all interact perfectly together.

A slow burning story, that gets better as it goes on &

ends in an exciting & frightening cliffhanger.

Stone of Destiny

STONE OF DESTINY (THE DANAAN TRILOGY

#2) by LAURA HOWARD

We meet up with Alison & her farther Liam, right where

book 1 left off.

Liam’s ex-lover Aofie is causing even more trouble, She

wants to make sure that Liam & Alison’s mother never

get back together.

This time though we go more into the world of The

Tuatha De Danaan, and learn more secrets of this

magical land.

This is a beautifully written story. Laura describes

everything so well you can almost touch them.

Alison is a great character, you can’t help but like her.

A very magical series.

I am looking forward to #3

Reunited in Love by Nadia Lee

4 out of 5 stars

Reunited in Love by Nadia Lee is about a beautiful and intelligent woman named

Kerri Wilson, who shunned and neglected by her family. She was bounced around

boarding schools while she was growing up and hardly had any contact with her

family.

Feeling alone and unwanted, she throws herself into school and becomes a

successful investment banker. She escapes to Hong Kong to avoid her family.

A major health scare causes Kerri to quit her job and travel to Virginia to visit

her best friend Natalie. While there, she runs into Ethan, a sexy and successful

businessman, whom she had a one night stand with many years ago.

Upon seeing each other again, sparks are reignited and they make a temporary

arrangement to live and work together. During their time together, they realize that

their feelings for each other are not temporary. Kerri does not believe she is worthy

of love. Ethan however makes it his mission to prove her wrong.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The sex scenes were hot and the story line flowed

perfectly. Ethan was definitely swoon worthy and Kerri was a strong woman who

battled through an extremely tough life.

A definite recommendation to read.

November Foxtrot

4 out of 5 stars

Foxtrot November by Scarlett Jade is about a woman named Zoe who is married to a

man named Calvin who is in the Armed Forces.

During his first deployment as a married couple, Zoe is struggling with being left on

her own and not hearing from her husband for long periods of time. She also finds

out she is pregnant. Unfortunately she is not sure if the baby is her husbands or an

ex she slept with before she was with Calvin.

Calvin is also struggling with his deployment, not just with the stress and danger,

but also being away from Zoe now that she is pregnant. He is willing to stand by her

no matter who the father of the baby is.

Not only do they have to worry about who the father is, but they also have to

struggle with problems from people around them as well.

It is still sad to know that people have a problem with couples of different races as

well. There was one paragraph in the book that I found touching and very true:

Calvin says,‘ that’s the one thing I hate; you run into people who can’t just take love

at face value. They have to color it. Add in shades that just don’t matter. Love is pure.

Love is simple. Love just is. It needs no other enhancement.”

These characters have both lost so much in life but are finding their way together. It

is a very touching story and has a cliffhanger which leaves us wanting more. This is

definitely a book you want to add to your reading collection.

Tempt My Heart

5 powerful, emotional stars!!!

If I could describe the emotions I felt as I read Tempt My Heart by Danielle

Jamie, it would take hours, as I experienced every feeling possible. This novel

touched my heart in so many ways that I don’t know if my review will do it justice.

Is it possible that each of us just might have two soul mates? Tempt My Heart

answers this question with so much sentiment that it’s impossible not to know the

This novel begins as a series of flashbacks that provide the reader insight to

what builds up as the main focus of the plot. As a teenager, Brittan McKenna meets

Cane and sparks instantly fly. The two begin a whirlwind relationship, full of love

and firsts. After September 11th

ultimate sacrifice, leaving Brittan alone with her vices. Because of his absence, she

spirals deep in addiction and depression. Being the front woman in a well-known

band doesn’t help her addictions, as she tries to find comfort in meaningless sex and

, Cane decides to enlist in the Army. He pays the

Fast-forward eight years after Cane’s death and a stint in rehab to attempt to

put her life and career back together, Brittan finds herself dancing with a super hot

rocker. Little does she know that he is the lead guitarist for the opening act who is

about to go on tour with her band. Jordon Valentine is the epitome of the bad boy

rocker. He has the cocky arrogance that gets all the women, and he sets his sights

on Brittan the minute he sees her.

Neither one is looking for a relationship, but what they get is a connection

that can’t be left unnoticed. I love how the edgy side of Jordon and the independent

side of Brittan combine to form a lasting bond in which they both use each other to

overcome the obstacles placed before them. Danielle Jamie interweaves a plot with

dual points of view, flashbacks, and present-day scenes to tell a story that has left

me with a serious book hangover. It’s touching, steamy, and cleverly written and will not disappoint

Sick Day

🌟🌟🌟🌟
Soul mates......Cam and Hope are 100% true soul mates.
They say you only have one soul mate in this world. They found each other, lost each other, found again, lost again and then found each other again. What a ride to finally come to terms to with your soul mate.

This book had me all over the place.  Raw emotions, ugly cry, heart broken and emotional wreck. "Our Story" was an amazing touch to the book. Having them tell there story though one of their eyes.

Don't want to give away spoilers but loved the ending!!

He's No Saint

4.5 Stars

AJ Harmon was able to give me a new twist in He's No Saint. The author used two points of

views. The flow between the two points of views was beautifully done. It was easy to follow. AJ

gave the reader love, tragic past, hope for the future, and a twist at the end.

Tyler Oswin came from a wealthy family. He felt his parents were never there and turned to

criminal ways to compensate. Tyler and his best friend get into trouble one night. Tyler was able

to get out of trouble due to his family's wealth. His friend did time for their crime. Tyler did

community service with a Catholic church. Tyler felt the church saved him. Tyler enjoyed his time

and continued to help after his service was over. After college, Tyler fell in love. On the night of

Tyler's planned engagement, his girlfriend was brutally murdered. After this tragedy, Tyler

believed it was his destiny to be a priest. This is when Tyler became Father Hugh.

Amy Lansing lost her father at the age of twelve. Amy's mother did not cope well. She began to

look for boyfriend after boyfriend and forgot her daughter. Amy had a couple of bad experiences

with alcohol and guys. Amy found comfort in the church. Amy believed it was her destiny to

become a nun. Amy became Sister Meredith.

Amy and Tyler meet in the church. They begin to have feelings for each other. They both fight to

deny it. Tyler wants to accept it and give up the church. Amy does not want him to have any

regrets. Amy decides she cannot live without him. Secrets start to tear them down before they can

even really get started. In the end, Tyler's secrets may be too much to overcome??

AJ Harmon did a great job with He's No Saint. I would recommend this book to anybody. I think it

is a great read. The story line was compelling. The secrets were deep. The ending was surprising.

I enjoy reading books that do not always follow the happy ever after.

Queen of Hearts

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in return for an honest review!!!

Jayne finds herself in Oklahoma. She’s trying to restart her life, yet she knows deep down she is missing Las Vegas but why? It’s a life she had wanted to leave behind for years; her Father was dead there was nothing in Las Vegas for her was there? The man she had fallen in love with had deceived her and left her heart broken.

Flynn is a man on a mission; he loves Jayne and will stop at nothing to have her. He has spent years watching her from a far and now he intends to give her the life she deserves, but will he win her over? Can she truly forgive him?

I loved Jayne’s character, regardless of her past she is a true fighter, at times she may be hot headed but that only adds to loving her even more.

You will not be disappointed in book #2 of this series. This book did not go how I how expected it to at all. I love when an Author isn’t predictable and Jami Denise does not disappoint. I couldn’t put this book down, the writing was flowing, descriptive and I could feel myself living this whole story right along with Jayne. I will definitely be reading more Jami Denise’s writing in the future.

Just Between Us by Hayley Oakes

5 stars

I received a copy of this book for free for an honest review.

Sophie was heart broken the summer before she went off to college. Meeting, dating and planning her wedding to Simon was her "safe" plan. That is until a month before the wedding he calls it off. After a month living with her mom and stepdad, Kyle returns for her wedding. Kyle offers to take her back to London for the summer, to forget all about Simon. Could Kyle really help her by being just her friend or will her heart shatter to pieces when it is time to leave Kyle and go back home to start teaching? Sophie and Kyle knew each other in school, but ran in different circles. Sophie thought Kyle was arrogant, Kyle thought Sophie was the princess of the house, that is until the summer before they go off to college.

When reading Just between Us by Hayley Oakes the book has Chapters that are not just numbered but also titled. They all start off with "Just". This was clever because it gave insight  to what the chapter might be about. This book also goes from present to past. I actually liked it because it was about Sophie and Kyle. This made it their story. Because this book goes from present to past the author was able to write their story which began ten years earlier.

Sophie-"I don't expect you to forgive me, Kyle, I have been a complete idiot, pushing you away and doubting that I could live with people I don't even CARE about gossiping about me. I mean, I always knew I loved you, but it hit me that the only person who's opinion ever really mattered to me...was yours". I whispered the last part. "I've been to scared to give us a chance because I worried too much about what people thought and now...its too late."

I really enjoyed Hayley Oakes writing style and would recommend this book.

Gorgeous Chaos

5 Stars
Gorgeous Chaos by T.K. Leigh is the final book from the Beautiful Mess series.
Olivia or "Olibia" and Alexander were childhood best friends until one day tragedy took that from them. More than 20 years later Alex and Olivia reunite unexpectedly. Alex knows her but she just feels a connection and a love she has never felt before. Alex is determined to make her his forever and to make up for the time they lost. But when Olivia finds out all the secrets Alex has kept from her about who she really is, how they were childhood best friends, and he lost her will Olivia be able to trust him again?
Along with the secrets Olivia's life is in jeopardy for information her memory cannot provide. The only way to get to this information is motivation from the goons who has searched for her for years. Will Olivia be able to save herself and those she loves without her memories? Will Olivia and Alex have their HEA? Not every story has happy ever after.
Gorgeous Chaos is the hardest book to read of this series. T.K. gives it to us brutally. The tragedy for Alex & Olivia seems to never end. Losing loved ones seems to be the trend in this book along with loss of trust. When Olivia realized her father is still alive can he fix all her problems or is it too late? You will have to read it to find out. ;)

Believe (Faith & Friendship book #2) by Sarah Jayne

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!

Rylee was finally away from Boston where she had grown up and away from the Stepfather she had grown up to hate. Her and Ava made a pinky promise at age 8 to move away from their hometown and as far away as possible from her stepfather.

The two best friends move to California, it’s exactly the fresh start that Rylee needs. Rylee is finding her freedom and independence and finding her true self again. Ava always told Rylee to have faith, fun and believe in Love, but Rylee doesn’t believe in true love or that she is even worthy of being loved.

However that was before she met Matt, this hot guy screamed trouble with his bad boy image but not for one moment did Rylee think she would have a connection with him that ran deeper than just friendship. But Rylee was falling for him and falling hard, however Matt had issues of his own. Can the two of them teach each other to love and feel? Or will their differences collide and break them…

After reading the first Book in this Series The Promise, I couldn’t wait to read Rylee and Matt’s story, S.L. Jayne did not disappoint. It was clear from the first book that this pair had a strong connection and I couldn’t wait to read all about it. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put the book down. It’s an easy read and it’s easy for you to soon be living it along with them enjoying movie nights and pancake breakfasts. I will definitely be reading more of S.L. Jayne’s writing.

Gilded destiny

ANNA-MARIE’S 4 STAR THOUGHTS

GILDED DESTINY by NOLA SARINA

This was a different take on a paranormal story.

The creatures in this story are called “Vespers” they are

half man & half man eating snakes created in the garden

of eden.

One of them is called Nycholas and he is in love with a

human called Calli.

Calli was in an accident & has a huge gap in her

memory. She covers herself in tattoos to fill a void.

Nycholas is on the run from his Master & knows it is

just a matter of time before he is caught & killed, but he

wants to spend time with Calli.

The more time they spend together, Calli starts to

realise that they had been together before & the real

reason for her memory loss becomes apparent.

This was a bit strange really, but Calli & Nycholas are

very sexy together.

It was a easy read, just not your normal paranormal

story.

Incredible Dreams

Review of Incredible Dreams by S E Felida

4 out of 5 stars

Incredible Dreams by S. E. Felida is a story about a woman named Leona who lives with 3 of her friends. She owns a catering company and is single. One night she has a dream about a sexy, gorgeous guy: her man of her dreams.

While out for lunch with her friends, she sees the exact same guy in her dreams on the street. She doesn’t actually get to meet him until he rescues her in a bar bathroom while she is being attacked by one of her girlfriend’s boyfriend.

The guy, Nathaniel, is actually a police officer. They both soon find themselves attracted to each other and when they get together things really start to get complicated.

Nate has been trying to track down his brother’s killer and Leona is trying to get away from her friend Naomi’s boyfriend who seems to be obsessed with her.

Throughout this story, there are a lot of twist and turns. The story keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next.

I found that the story started out a little confusing at first, but after the first couple chapters it gets better. There are a lot of characters in this story as well which also gets confusing at times.

I really enjoyed the suspense and drama in this book and the ending was a shock.

I can’t wait to read book 2 and see what happens.

Snip snip Revenge

Snip, Snip Revenge

Overall Rating 4 Stars

***Reviewed for Hooked on Books***

This book is targeted for teenage girls. I love reading YA books, and this book didn’t disappoint. It was an intriguing story-line, with unique characters. The book was definitely a fast read, and it held my attention.
Tabby goes to Art school, and she has three wonderful friends that stick by her. She is known for her beautiful hair. When Tabby was sticking up for one of her friends in class she got in trouble by the teacher and was sent down to the office. Then there was an issue at the school, and a that same teacher had lied, and that lie ended up with Tabby cutting off all her beautiful hair. She had to endure with the mean girls rubbing it in. Tabby wants a role in the school play but is afraid she won’t get it because she had to get her hair cut off. Does the teacher get in trouble because she lied? What does Tabby and her friends do to the mean girls? I won’t give that away, but I will say this is a must read if you like reading YA book.

The author really did a great job talking about the issue of bullying. It is tough for anyone to go through that and I applaud her for attacking the issue. Also Tabby had a rough home life also. Great job and thank you for a great book Medina!!!

See Through Me

3 Stars
If you are looking for a HEA you sure ain't getting it here. After all this drawn out reading I still feel unsatisfied with the unanswered answered questions. 'See Through Me' left me frustrated while reading it and of the end. It's a story of a life long love friendship. All they want to do is protect the other which ends up causing a separation causing pain and hurt. When they reunite can they still protect each other or is it too late?  What are their secrets and can they move past the hurt and mysteries?

Slowly We Trust

3 Stars
Slowly We Trust was a looooong read for only 250-ish pages. It's about a girl who has a secret and she feels can't tell anyone. She tries to live her life and forget about her past and her family.  As the reader we figure out the secret without being told early on BUT it doesn't come out until close to the end. It is so drawn out. I felt discouraged and could have stopped reading it.
I read have read a lot of books with similar storylines BUT Jiminy Crickets this story needs some TLC. I did giggle in a few areas but that was about the highlight of reading it.

Untamed

★★★★★ Where should I begin describing this Fanfreakingtastic book! Two broken people who found one another to make themselves whole only to be forced apart.
This could be considered a tragic mess and I heart it so HARD! Reagan a rich college student forced to live the life her parents have planned for her. Dare a broke artist, son of a junkie & druggie/murder. Dare doesn't fit into Reagan's parent's plan. Reagan has lived her life popping pills and drunk to cope with her life until she meets Dare the gorgeous man that soothes her better than any pill and has the same passion for art as she does.
Will these two halves become a while or will her parent's plan ruin what they have for happiness?

Ripped

3 stars Ripped has potential to be a great story but I kept wanting more. I didn't feel like I was getting enough from the dialog and the characters. I loved the time period, the setting, I loved the characters potential, and I could relate to Lvy but I felt I was short changed. :(

UNDER THE MOON

UNDER THE MOON 5 Freaking Fabulous stars This story was amazing! Before I goosh about how great it is I want to warn you on the negative. Please don't let this discourage you from reading this book it really is amazing. If this book was sent to a professional editor it was an awful job. More than your fair share of the wrong wording was used or typos. This causes the flow of this book to be choppy at times. It causes you to stop and reread quite a bit breaking concentration and interrupts the flow. On to the fabulous story. This story is inspiring, encouraging, heart warming, and just plain beautiful. Amazing job Rose! The tragedy and guilt of these two young people is devastating. I am so glad they found each other. Then you have Grace a sixteen year old wiser than any adult I have ever met. She teaches us all how we should approach our life. She is freaking amazing. If you are able to keep dry eyes for the whole book I believe you could be one of Selena's mom's demons.

Waltz on the Wild Side Review

4 stars Waltz on the Wild Side by Alana Albertson is a story about two dancers who used to be best friends. Salomé has the pressure put on her about her appearance. She's not skinny enough, she's short and is horrible at doing interviews. She also has to deal with seeing her ex-boyfriend and dance partner with her replacement. Vika had it hard as a child, being shipped to the United States to live her baba(grandma) to have the chance at a better life. She's married to someone who is a lot older and has step-children, one who is older, one that's the same age and younger. She has worked hard to get to the top, but when she meets her childhood crush, she realizes that she wants to experience love. Not the love she's used to, for security and success. But can she deal with the consequences. This is a great journey through the ups and downs of professional dancers who want it all. The title and love of their life. Alana Albertson does a great job of writing about the emotional life of a dancer. It does start off a little slow, but does pick up and get better! It was a good read that I would recommend!

HOT STEAMY AND SEXY AS HELL!!!
If you read this book and DONT want to try kinky sex then something may be wrong!!

I gave this book 4 stars only because I wanted there to be more. I hope the author continues the story of Eric and Lena. Now this book does have some situation that may be difficult for some readers but not to many. Lena is a quite and shy girl who spends her evenings curled up with a book! Eric is back in town and has some big responsibilities. They do meet out one night at a bar. And it is all down hill for Lena from then on. Eric is a DOM, and Lena is his new SUB she just doesn't know it at first. But when Eric starts to introduce her to the world of BDSM he understands more why she has walls built up and he will be the one to tear them done.
Ladies make sure to have your man close by after you read this because WOW it is all kinds of hot.  Like I said I hope there is another book with this couple and maybe one with Cade if we are lucky!!
