This book is targeted for teenage girls. I love reading YA
books, and this book didn’t disappoint. It was an intriguing story-line, with
unique characters. The book was definitely a fast read, and it held my
attention.
Tabby goes to Art school, and she has three wonderful
friends that stick by her. She is known for her beautiful hair. When Tabby was
sticking up for one of her friends in class she got in trouble by the teacher
and was sent down to the office. Then there was an issue at the school, and a that
same teacher had lied, and that lie ended up with Tabby cutting off all her
beautiful hair. She had to endure with the mean girls rubbing it in. Tabby
wants a role in the school play but is afraid she won’t get it because she had
to get her hair cut off. Does the teacher get in trouble because she lied? What
does Tabby and her friends do to the mean girls? I won’t give that away, but I
will say this is a must read if you like reading YA book.
The author really did a great job talking about the issue
of bullying. It is tough for anyone to go through that and I applaud her for
attacking the issue. Also Tabby had a rough home life also. Great job and thank
you for a great book Medina!!!
