VIP by M. Robinson

4 stars
This is a book with 2 seperate stories that intertwined themselves.  I really like how M. Robinson did this. So here is my take…..

Ysabelle is an only child that wants nothing more than to NOT be hungry, dirty, frightened and craves her mothers love.  Ysabelle is handed the cold hard reality that even as a child , she needs to take care of herself. No one else would, not even her mother.  Ysabelle's mother, (which wasn't given a name-which I love) was a prostitute & a junkie and only cared about her next john that would pay for her next fix. At the age of twelve, Ysabelle was raped by one her mom's johns. Ysabelle found out later that her mother was paid more money for this john to "use" her daughter than he would have paid for her. I don't see a Mother of the Year award anytime soon.
Ysabelle learned after this the newfound power she had over horny boys.
At the age of sixteen, Ysabelle moved to Miami with a only the clothes on her back and $100 in her purse.

"I enjoyed doing things that I had to do, to sustain life, maybe it's hereditary or something, to be a whore, a slut, a prostitute. that's what I grew up to be. That's what I knew. That's what I became. I wasn't just some prostitute sucking d*** for nickels and dimes. I was "The Prostitute", the more politically correct word for my Madam would be that I was an escort"

Enter in Madam, who runs VIP (Very Important P***y).  She has seen something in Ysabelle and wants to recruit her in the world of sex & money. Madam is a force to be reckoned with. She owns Miami, and doesn't take crap from anyone.

Sebastian is an only child. Unlike Ysabelle's story, he WAS loved, fed and taken care of as all children should be.
Sebastian grew up with Julia, in fact he has known Julia since the day she was born.
"Obviously, I don't remember it, but my parents said that the day she was born, I was one of the first people to hold her, and that I gave her our first kiss right on the lips. I called her my baby and from them on everyone just nicknamed her, Babygirl."

One of Julia's first words was my name, she couldn't say Sebastian, and ended up saying Sebby. She's called me that ever since.

These 2 worlds collide in such a way that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Add in an adoptive daughter, a tragic death, illicit affairs & opening ones self to love.

I truly enjoyed this book and am excited for Madam (Book 2 of the VIP Trilogy) coming out May 2014.  Because you know there are some serious secrets she is keeping from us…
